ATHX Benchmark Calculator

Step 1

Enter what you know

Partial scores are fine — strength, endurance, or MetCon alone all work.

Step 2

Add MetCon (optional)

Splits or rates refine your estimate — leave it collapsed to skip.

Step 3

Read your scores

Zone scores and rank-sum update live as you type.

Enter what you know — strength, endurance, and MetCon (optional) — for live scores.

ATHX ranks athletes by rank-sum across all three zones (lower = better). Rank-sum is strongly corroborated by leaderboard data but has not been stated verbatim on the official site.

Strength / Weakness Profile

Coming in a future update — requires calibration data from real ATHX leaderboards.

Projected Placings

Percentile and placing estimates require calibration data from at least one ATHX event. Once that data is available, you'll see projected placing per zone and an estimated overall rank-sum.

How we calculate this

New to the format? See What is ATHX? for a full rundown of the three zones before diving into the ledger below.

Strength total — Confirmed: score = sum of heaviest bar per lift (press 1RM + squat 3RM load + deadlift 5RM load). Not tonnage. Source: official 2026 workouts page + FindYourEdge disambiguation.

Epley inverse formula — Used to estimate your 3RM / 5RM from a 1RM entry: load = 1RM ÷ (1 + n/30). This is an estimate; direct entry is more accurate.

Endurance distance — Confirmed: individuals start on the run; switch every 750 m (individual) or 1,000 m (pro). A 6-second modality transition is assumed but unpublished.

MetCon X time — Ski-erg cal targets (M 45 / F 30) confirmed. Station order and the closing ski erg are in the official workouts page but the lunge / burpee reps and the closing ski for the individual division are not independently verified. Rates are labeled estimates; direct split entry is more accurate.

Scoring mode — Rank-sum (lower points = better) is strongly corroborated by leaderboard arithmetic but has not been stated verbatim on any official page.

Tiebreak — Officially unpublished. Not displayed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ATHX benchmark calculator?
The ATHX benchmark calculator turns your strength numbers, run/row paces, and MetCon X rates into estimated ATHX zone scores — the same three metrics athletes are ranked on at a real ATHX event: strength total (kg), endurance distance (m), and MetCon X time (seconds).
Why is the scoring interpretation labeled unverified?
The ATHX format is reconstructed from public sources rather than an official scoring document. The 'loads' interpretation of the strength total and the rank-sum aggregation method are both strongly corroborated, but neither is stated verbatim on the official site. We surface that uncertainty rather than present our best guess as fact.
Should I enter my 1RM or my actual rep-max?
If you know your actual 3RM back squat or 5RM deadlift, enter it directly using the '3RM' / '5RM' toggle — that's the most accurate input. If you only know your 1RM, the calculator estimates the rep-max load via the Epley formula, which is a common but approximate method.
How is the endurance distance calculated?
The calculator simulates the full 22-minute test segment by segment. It starts you on the run (confirmed for individuals), counts full 750m or 1,000m segments, adds a small transition penalty between modalities, and tallies the remaining metres if you run out of time mid-segment.
What are the MetCon X stations?
Based on public sources: ski erg, 30 alternating DB ground-to-overhead, 30m sandbag carry, 30 box jump-overs, DB walking lunge, burpee broad jump, and a closing ski erg. The closing ski erg and the exact lunge / burpee distances for the individual division are not independently verified. Check athxgames.com/workouts/2026 before competing.
What does the MetCon X time represent?
MetCon X is scored by time to complete seven stations. The calculator sums your per-station times — either entered directly as splits or derived from rates you enter — and adds brief transition estimates between stations. If the total exceeds 25 minutes, it reports 1,500s (the cap). Known splits give a more accurate estimate than rate-based entry.
